How Can I Study Educare Without Matric?
To help those who still want to further their studies in Educare, but do not have a Matric Certificate, another method to do this was developed by the DHET.
This method involves registering for and passing the needed exams for the Amended Senior Certificate (which is known as an Adult Matric Certificate).
What Is The Amended Senior Certificate?
The Amended Senior Certificate was introduced by the DHET, to give students who never finished their Grade 12 in school, a chance to get an equal certificate.
You can still be 19 when you start the Adult Matric Program, but you must be 21 at the time of writing the examinations. ( This also applies to the Matric Upgrading course)
Keep in mind that the Amended Senior Certificate (Adult Matric Certificate) is exactly the same as the National Senior Certificate (Matric Certificate) .
Umalusi issues and awards both certificates. So they carry the same educational level and accreditation.
